Tripoli: The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity announced the completion of procedures for merging the Tajoura and Qarabulli Security Directorates under the new name “Tajoura Security Directorate.” This move is in alignment with the Minister of Interior’s Decision No. (645) of 2025.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry detailed in a post on its official page that the committee responsible for the handover process has finalized all necessary arrangements for the merger. This includes the transfer of both fixed and movable assets, as well as weapons, to the newly formed directorate.

This strategic action is part of the Ministry of Interior’s broader plan to streamline security operations and improve the efficiency of performance. The merger aims to enhance stability and elevate the level of security services within the areas affected by this consolidation.
