Minister of Water Resources Engages in Talks with Tajik Counterpart on Water Management Cooperation

Dushanbe: Minister of Water Resources, Hosni Awidan, recently engaged in discussions with the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, Daler Juma, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various facets of water resources management, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development. This meeting was conducted on the sidelines of the Libyan delegation's participation in the Fourth High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action, "Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028."According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions delved into the outcomes of the conference and explored prospects for joint cooperation between Libya and Tajikistan. The Tajik minister expressed appreciation for Libya's active participation and acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Libyan delegation to the African Forum, which was a part of the conference.Both ministers underscored the importance of developing cooperation in integrated water resource s management, including dam studies and construction. They also highlighted the significance of exchanging expertise, experiences, and building capacity through training initiatives.
