Tripoli: The Minister of Economy and Trade of the Government of National Unity held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brega Oil Marketing Company to discuss the fuel supply situation affecting the local market.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting also focused on evaluating the pace of external imports amid current geopolitical instability. The session included a review of the country’s strategic reserves and an assessment of the supply system’s readiness to maintain uninterrupted coverage, a move aimed at stabilizing the local market in the future.
An agreement was reached for the company to prepare and submit a comprehensive plan to the Supreme Energy Council. This plan is expected to include mechanisms for enhancing strategic reserves and diversifying supply sources.
The Minister highlighted the necessity of continuous coordination and improving operational readiness to ensure that the local market’s needs are met efficiently and sustainably.
