Libyan Presidential Council Chairman Condemns Aggression Against Qatar as Attack on Arab and Islamic Nations

Doha: The head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, has called for a unified stance in the Security Council against the Israeli actions that have targeted the State of Qatar and the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that the aggression against Qatar is tantamount to an attack on the entire Arab and Islamic nations.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Al-Menfi, during his address at the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, highlighted that the Israeli aggression compromising Qatar's sovereignty is part of a broader campaign affecting Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. He pointed out that these actions demonstrate a disregard for international law and the sovereignty of states by the occupying entity.

Al-Menfi reiterated Libya's rejection of these acts, expressing full solidarity with Qatar. He stated that any attack on an Arab or Islamic country impacts all nations within these groups, underscoring Libya's commitment to support its allies.

The Libyan leader urged for international protection for the Palestinian people and called for concerted diplomatic and legal efforts to hold the aggressors accountable. He also advocated for the continuation of initiatives like that undertaken by South Africa, which Libya was the first to support before the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
