Cairo: The Libyan Embassy in Cairo announced today that the movement of Libyan citizens entering and leaving Egypt is proceeding normally, in accordance with the previously established procedures. The embassy clarified in a statement that reports circulating about Egyptian authorities preventing Libyan citizens arriving through Egyptian ports and airports from entering Egypt were based on temporary regulations applicable only to this day.
According to Libyan News Agency, the embassy added that it had contacted Egyptian authorities, who confirmed that the movement of Libyan citizens entering and leaving Egypt is proceeding normally. The authorities reiterated that flights between the two countries are operating as usual through all ports and airports.
For its part, Afriqiyah Airways confirmed that the entry procedures for Libyan citizens to Egypt, related to the age requirements for obtaining a visa, remain unchanged.
