Libya Denounces Israeli Airstrikes on Iran and Demands De-escalation

Tripoli: Libya condemns the Israeli aggression against Iran and calls for an immediate end to the escalation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes that targeted Iran at dawn today.

According to Libyan News Agency, the ministry stated that these airstrikes constitute "a flagrant violation of Iran's sovereignty and a violation of the rules and principles of international law and the United Nations Charter." The ministry called for an immediate halt to this escalation, citing its threat to regional and international peace and security.

The ministry emphasized that these attacks undermine efforts to maintain stability in the region and the world. It expressed full support for efforts aimed at resolving the conflict and urged regional and international parties to intensify their efforts to settle disputes peacefully through dialogue and diplomatic channels, avoiding confrontation and escalation.
