Tripoli: The Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity is discussing strengthening health cooperation with Serbia. The Undersecretary General of the Ministry of Health in the Government of National Unity, acting Minister, Mohammed Al-Ghouj, engaged in discussions with the Serbian Ambassador to Libya, Rodjan Dodorovic, focusing on prospects for bilateral cooperation in the health sector.According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, which took place in Tripoli, centered on activating the memoranda of understanding previously signed by the two nations. Key areas of potential collaboration include expanding partnerships to facilitate the exchange of doctors and training in general and emergency medicine. Additionally, there is an emphasis on the exchange of professors between academic institutions and the implementation of twinning programs between hospitals.The discussions also covered the development of specialized nursing programs and collaboration in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Training in clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical inspection were also highlighted as areas of potential cooperation. Both parties agreed on organizing and exchanging technical visits, with plans for a Libyan technical delegation to visit Serbia in the near future to oversee the implementation of joint programs and explore further opportunities for practical cooperation.
