Benghazi: The Chairman of the House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Committee, Youssef Al-Aqouri, met with the Greek Consul General to Libya, Athanasios Anastopoulos, to discuss ways to facilitate travel procedures between the two countries and address any problems Libyan citizens may face while traveling.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, held at the House of Representatives headquarters in Benghazi, focused on strengthening joint coordination between Libya and Greece. The discussion included the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing issues of common interest and contributing to supporting security and stability in the region.
Al-Aqouri acknowledged the deep historical relations between Libya and Greece and emphasized Greece's role in supporting stability in Libya and the Mediterranean region. The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to continue joint coordination to enhance rapprochement and develop trade and economic relations between the two countries.
