Riyadh: King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication (KACCC) is set to organize its annual Tolerance Forum next Monday, November 18, under the theme "Bridges for Understanding and Coexistence in a Diverse World", to coincide with the International Day for Tolerance, marked every year on November 16. The forum underscores the Kingdom's commitment to fostering tolerance and strengthening communication among societal components, and between Saudi Arabia and the global community. It aims to build bridges of understanding, promote shared human values, and support the Kingdom's efforts toward achieving the sustainable development goals.According to Saudi Press Agency, the KACCC's Deputy Secretary General, Ibrahim Al-Asmi, emphasized that tolerance is a cornerstone for peaceful coexistence within societies and among international communities. He noted Saudi Arabia's unique position - rooted in its geographical and historical significance - at the crossroads of civilizations and cultures, which enables it to le ad regional and global efforts to promote these values.The forum will explore the significance of tolerance, highlight the roles of key stakeholders, help share experience, and address challenges and opportunities in fostering coexistence. It will also discuss strategies to strengthen international cooperation to advance tolerance worldwide.
