Japanese stock indices declined on the Tokyo Stock Exchange at the end of today's session, affected by the decline in the shares of chip companies that followed the path of their American counterparts, as well as the energy sector, which was affected by the drop in crude oil prices.
The Nikkei index declined by 1.27 percent, to reach the level of 32,059.91 points, while the broader Topix index slid by 0.98 percent, to end its trading at the level of 2,280.89 points.
The Nikkei index fell at the beginning of trading on the stock exchange by 0.05 percent to 32,456.72 points, while the broader Topix index rose 0.13 percent to 2,306.54 points.
