Vienna: The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has adopted a resolution confirming Iran's non-compliance with its obligations under the nuclear safeguards agreement. This marks the first such action taken in nearly two decades against Iran regarding its nuclear activities.According to Libyan News Agency, the resolution was supported by Britain, France, and Germany, with the United States also joining in. The resolution received the backing of 19 out of the 35 members of the IAEA Board of Governors. It faced opposition from three countries, while eleven countries chose to abstain from voting. The Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran have condemned the resolution. They described it as an oversight of Iran's extensive and ongoing cooperation with the IAEA, stating their position through the Iranian News Agency. Iran has also accused the resolution of echoing Israel's "fabricated" allegations concerning undeclared nuclear activities at several Ira nian sites. Furthermore, Iran views the resolution as an attempt to revive the "possible military dimensions" issue, which was closed after the 2015 nuclear agreement, with the intent to bring the Iranian nuclear file back to the UN Security Council.
