Tripoli: The Planning, Finance, and General Budget Committee of the House of Representatives convened an extensive meeting at the House's Diwan branch in Tripoli, engaging with representatives from the Central Bank of Libya and the National Oil Corporation. This gathering focused on deliberating amendments to the 2025 draft state budget law.According to Libyan News Agency, House of Representatives spokesman Abdullah Blihaq communicated through his official Facebook page that the meeting was initiated based on directives from the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh. The discussions centered on various observations regarding the draft budget, aiming to adjust it in line with the current phase's demands and the state's financial policy strategies.Blihaq further noted that this meeting is part of the ongoing efforts by the House of Representatives to expedite the budget approval process, ensuring comprehensive coverage of public spending items, with particular emphasis on the service and dev elopment sectors.
