Brussels, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in a working dinner hosted by the European Commission.The event, chaired by Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, was held in honour of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU) ahead of the first GCC-EU Summit, set to take place tomorrow at the EU headquarters in Brussels.During the dinner, discussions focused on the current regional situation, efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region, end the war in Gaza and the tensions in Lebanon, and prospects for achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East. The conversation also covered efforts to protect international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.The working dinner was also attended by Ambassador Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al Doseri, Bahrain's Ambassador to Belgium and Permanent Representative to t he European Union.Source: Bahrain News Agency
