Fidan Highlights Turkey’s Commitment to Libya’s Territorial Integrity

Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized Turkey's primary strategy in Libya, focusing on the country's territorial integrity and unity. In a recent television interview on a local Turkish channel, Fidan stated, "We have used our military presence in Libya to prevent further conflict," and highlighted Turkey's efforts to unify the eastern and western regions of Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, Fidan elaborated on the role Turkey has played in maintaining stability in Libya. He noted that despite the challenges, there has not been any major conflict in the region recently, attributing this to Turkey's active involvement in preventing conflict escalation.

The Turkish Foreign Minister further explained that Libya has experienced a long-standing division within its official institutions, including the army, which has been split between the east and west. Turkey's strategy aims to bridge these divides and support Libya's path towards unity and stability.
