Tripoli: The Director of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Performance Department, alongside the Director of the Institutional Development Office and the Director of the International Cooperation and Organizations Affairs Office at the Ministry, convened a meeting with representatives from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The session focused on exploring methods to bolster the municipal work system, with the inclusion of a regional expert specializing in developing performance indicators and data analysis.According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was part of a project aimed at supporting and assisting municipalities in Libya, implemented by GIZ in coordination with the Ministry's International Cooperation and Organizations Affairs Office. The primary goal was to develop mechanisms for municipal work and strengthen good governance by establishing clear and measurable performance indicators. These efforts are intended to enhance institutional performance efficiency and improve service q uality for citizens.Discussion points included the preparation and design of specialized training programs to build the capacities of technical and administrative staff in municipalities. The aim is to enhance skills in institutional development, monitoring, performance evaluation, and data analysis, aligned with best modern practices in local administration.The meeting concluded with a mutual emphasis on the importance of expanding joint cooperation areas and intensifying technical and advisory support. This collaboration seeks to achieve the ministry's strategic objectives and lay the groundwork for professional and sustainable municipal work.
