Dbeibah Issues Decree for Electronic Collection of Public Revenues


Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, issued a decree today, Thursday, amending the Budget and Accounts Regulations to allow for the electronic collection of public revenues.

According to Libyan News Agency, Decree No. 60 of 2026, published on the ‘Our Government’ platform, mandates all treasuries of ministries and public bodies to accept payments through approved electronic systems, in addition to cash and certified checks.

The amendment encompasses the collection of all government dues, including taxes, customs duties, and other fees. It also requires entities to issue official receipts and documentation for each transaction.
