Tripoli: Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah of the Government of National Unity held a telephone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region and their impact on regional security and stability.According to Libyan News Agency, the two sides discussed the rapidly evolving situation, with Dbeibah reiterating Libya's firm stance calling for the preservation of the unity and sovereignty of Arab states and the safeguarding of their stability. He emphasized Libya's support for Iraq's security and stability and its rejection of any infringement upon Iraq's security or institutions. He also stressed the importance of returning to dialogue and activating diplomatic channels as a fundamental option for ending the crisis and working to prevent further escalation and tension in the region.For his part, the Iraqi Prime Minister reviewed the developments, expressing his appreciation for Libya's supportive stance towards Iraq and its sov ereignty. He emphasized the importance of coordination and consultation among Arab states during this sensitive period and the need to intensify joint efforts to contain the current tensions.This call comes within the framework of Libyan efforts aimed at supporting regional stability and promoting peaceful solutions based on dialogue and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
