Tripoli: The Central Bank of Libya has announced the extension of the acceptance period for the 50-dinar banknote until April 30, 2025, in commercial banks. This decision was made during the first meeting of the bank's Board of Directors, which was attended by the Governor, his Deputy, and all board members.According to Libyan News Agency, the Central Bank confirmed that the final date for accepting the 50-dinar note at the Central Bank itself will be May 8, 2025. This decision is to be officially announced in the Official Gazette, providing ample notice to the public and financial institutions about the extended acceptance period.The meeting, held on a Sunday, marked a significant moment as board members convened to deliberate on this and other critical issues affecting Libya's financial landscape.
