CBL Governor meets with US envoy.Meteorology: Cool weather with slight rise in temperatures

Tripoli: The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir, met last Thursday with the US Special Envoy Richard Norland, the Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Brent, and the Assistant Secretary-General for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the UN mission, Georgette Jagnon.The Central Bank's media office reported that the meeting discussed efforts to reconstruct Derna and the affected areas and cooperation with the United States Agency for Development and the "Bragma" company to raise the competencies of the Central Bank's departments.The meeting also discussed monitoring spending and revenues for the year 2023, cooperating with relevant authorities to prepare the 2024 budget, addressing fuel subsidies, rationalizing spending, and continuing transparency and disclosure efforts, according to the media office. Source: Libyan News AgencyThe National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning reported that mountainous provinces, deserts and inland plateaus are still affected by a cold air mass with a slight rise in temperatures.In its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center expected that the weather would be cold in the provinces of Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Amran, Sana'a, Sa'ada, Al-Dhale' and Ibb, during the next 24 hours.The center alerted citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients, and workers during the night and early morning, to take the necessary precautions against the cold weather.The center also warned seafarers and fishermen in Socotra Archipelago, the south of the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab of the turbulent sea and high waves.
