CBL Governor Announces Signing of Unified Public Spending Agreement


Tripoli: The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, announced today the signing of the Unified Public Spending Agreement by representatives of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State.

According to Libyan News Agency, Issa emphasized that this agreement is not merely a financial document, but rather marks a new chapter of serious work and sincere cooperation. In a speech during the signing ceremony, he stated, “This agreement is a true embodiment of the unified national will and a clear declaration that Libya is capable of overcoming its differences when it unites on a shared vision for its future.”

He added that the agreement represents a joint effort to overcome fragmentation and duplication, establishing a phase of clarity and fiscal discipline. By completing this historic step, Libya aims to unify public spending within the country.
