Tripoli: Brega Petroleum Marketing Company announced the commencement of the first phase of a strategic project aimed at implementing ISO standards for occupational safety and environmental management across all its sites. According to Libyan News Agency, the project involves the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) and the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001). This effort is being carried out in collaboration with experts from the Petroleum Research Center, the Arab House, and the Arab Group. The company's strategy focuses on enhancing institutional performance and increasing compliance with global standards in safety and environmental fields.
The launch event for the first phase took place at the Tripoli International Airport warehouse. It featured a comprehensive review of relevant documents, procedures, and application models for the new systems. Furthermore, practical training sessions were conducted for the work team to improve their understanding and capability to implement the new mechanisms efficiently, as stated by the source.
