Al-Lafi's remarks emerge amidst increasing demands for expedited elections to resolve the ongoing political stalemate. Concerns are mounting that without a comprehensive political solution, focusing solely on financial issues could exacerbate the Libyan crisis rather than alleviate it.

In a session held in Benghazi on Tuesday, the House of Representatives approved the draft public debt law, incorporating comments from the Planning, Finance, and General Budget Committee on the legislation.
