Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit met today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.The Arab League Secretariat General released a statement saying that the two officials talked about developments in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, and the risk posed by an Israeli escalation that could cause instability in the region.They stressed the need to improve coordination and consultations with the Arabs on all matters of common interest.Source: Saudi Press Agency
