Arab League Emphasizes the Inviolability of Arab States’ Sovereignty

Cairo: Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy declared that the sovereignty of Arab states is a "red line" that must not be compromised, as reported by Xinhua. This statement was made during Fahmy's inaugural press conference since he took office on July 1, underscoring the shared responsibility of the Arab world to maintain national security with a unified stance.

According to Nam News Network, Fahmy emphasized that any aggression against an Arab state is tantamount to aggression against the entire Arab world. He addressed regional tensions, highlighting that ongoing crises in countries such as Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Libya, and Somalia can only be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. Fahmy reaffirmed the Arab League's dedication to aiding efforts for restoring security and stability, concentrating on preserving territorial integrity, ceasing hostilities, increasing humanitarian aid, and ensuring the safe return of displaced persons and refugees.

Fahmy also reiterated that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority for the Arab League. He vowed to persist in defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, striving to end the occupation, and holding accountable those responsible for "crimes against civilians."
