Al-Menfi Reviews Security and Military Readiness in Tripoli


Tripoli: Mohammed Al-Menfi, Head of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, convened an extensive military and security meeting to assess the security and military situation and the combat readiness of military units. The meeting was attended by key figures including the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, who also serves as the Minister of Defense, the Chief of the General Staff and his deputy, and other senior military and security officials.



According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidential Council’s media office indicated that the meeting focused on evaluating the level of discipline and organization within military units, reviewing approved operational plans, and exploring mechanisms to enhance coordination among military and security agencies. The discussions aimed to ensure improved operational performance and the protection of national sovereignty.



Al-Menfi received a comprehensive briefing on the security situation, the progress of military tasks, and the challenges faced in the field. Proposals were also discussed to improve operational efficiency, strengthen stability, and safeguard public security.
