Al-Menfi Approves Credentials of 11 New Ambassadors to Libya


Tripoli: President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, has approved the credentials of 11 newly appointed ambassadors to Libya. These appointments were confirmed during a formal ceremony, marking a significant step in Libya’s diplomatic engagements.

According to Libyan News Agency, the list of newly accredited ambassadors includes Ali Rashid Al Mazrouei from the United Arab Emirates, Nguyen Huy Dung from Vietnam, Amadou Mohamed Othman from Niger, and Abuhameji Sisra Senawaritna from Sri Lanka. Additionally, Alison Stewart will represent Canada, while Ioannis Papamiletiou will serve as the ambassador from Greece.

Further strengthening Libya’s international ties, Tahir Issou Youssouf from Chad, Mohamed Hafiz Rahman from India, Dominic Goh Kian from Singapore, and Massa Kaba from Guinea have also been appointed. Reinaldo José Bolívar from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela completes the list of the newly accredited diplomats.

Al-Menfi extended a warm welcome to the ambassadors, expressing optimis
m that their missions would lead to enhanced cooperation and partnerships. He emphasized the importance of these diplomatic relationships in promoting both regional and international stability.

The ambassadors reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Libya. They pledged to deepen cooperation in political, economic, and cultural sectors, aiming to support development efforts and fortify the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between their respective countries and Libya.
