Malabo: President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met with Egyptian President Abdul-Fatah Sisi on the sidelines of the seventh semi-annual coordination meeting between the African Union and the Regional Economic Communities in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation between Libya and Egypt to serve the common interests of both nations. They also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.
The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the discussions included mechanisms to support continental integration efforts. The leaders also addressed enhancing sustainable development paths and ensuring peace and security across the African continent.
