Tripoli: Presidential Council member Musa al-Koni met today in Tripoli with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Hanna Tetteh, to discuss ways to strengthen national unity and maintain the credibility of Libyan institutions.

According to Libyan News Agency, UNSMIL stated on its official Facebook page that the meeting addressed the importance of preserving national unity and maintaining the credibility of institutions. This aligns with the principles stipulated in the Libyan Political Agreement and the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum Roadmap.

Both sides emphasized the necessity of maintaining the professionalism and cohesion of state institutions. They consider these elements as essential pillars for supporting peace and stability and preserving the unity of the Libyan state.
