Tripoli: Minister of Economy and Trade "Mohammed Al-Huwaij" engaged in discussions with the Secretary of State at the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs "Nikola Tujanovic" to explore avenues for economic and trade cooperation between Libya and Serbia. The meeting underscored the mutual interest in enhancing bilateral relations in these sectors.
According to Libyan News Agency, both parties reviewed the outcomes of the recent Libyan-Serbian forum, emphasizing the significance of capitalizing on the progress made to further strengthen economic and trade ties. The forum has been pivotal in identifying potential areas for collaboration and mutual benefit.
"Al-Huwaij" highlighted the importance of advancing trade and investment ties, reiterating the ministry's commitment to facilitating access for Serbian companies and investors interested in the Libyan market. He proposed the activation of the joint committee to assess existing agreements and the formulation of new ones to foster robust economic partnerships.
Additionally, the minister called for encouraging business leaders and companies from both nations to identify and pursue investment opportunities, open new avenues for trade exchanges, and broaden the scope of economic cooperation.
