Al-Haddad Meets AFRICOM Deputy and US Ambassador to Discuss Military Training Programs


Tripoli: The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, convened a significant meeting in Tripoli with the Deputy Commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), Lieutenant General John Brennan, and the Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy, Jeremy Berndt, alongside their delegation. The meeting was also attended by the Chief of Operations.



According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Haddad extended a warm welcome to the visiting officials and highlighted the strong bilateral relations between Libya and the United States. He expressed gratitude for the support provided by the US in efforts to unify Libya’s military institution.



The dialogue during the meeting centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly focusing on implementing joint training programs aimed at improving the capabilities of Libyan army personnel. The discussions also covered various topics of mutual interest, which are expected to contribute to strengthening security and stability across Libya.
