Cairo: Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has undertaken a field visit to the Libyan Permanent Delegation to the League of Arab States in Egypt. The visit aimed to monitor the progress of work and assess the situation of Libyan missions as well as the community residing in Egypt.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Baour received a briefing from diplomatic staff on the delegation’s work mechanism and the progress of ongoing activities and files. He reviewed the services provided to Libyan citizens and emphasized the importance of addressing their needs effectively.
Al-Baour also engaged with the President of the Union of Libyan Students Studying in Egypt to understand their primary needs and observations. He assured the Ministry’s commitment to supporting Libyan students abroad and highlighted the necessity of developing sustainable solutions for the challenges they encounter.
Additionally, Al-Baour assessed the conditions of the Libyan community in Egypt, focusing on Libyan patients receiving medical treatment. Discussions were held with relevant authorities on improving service delivery and overcoming obstacles faced by the community.
During his visit, Al-Baour inspected the memorial commemorating the founding of the Libyan Army in Cairo. He stressed the importance of regular maintenance and preservation of the memorial as a national symbol representing the history and sacrifices of the Libyan people.
