Al-Baour and UNDP Discuss Expansion of Sustainable Development Partnership in Libya

Tripoli: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, held a meeting with Sophie Kimkhadze, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Libya, to explore avenues for enhancing their collaborative efforts in supporting sustainable development.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions focused on institutional capacity building, public administration development, and reviewing ongoing joint programs and projects. Both parties exchanged views on mechanisms to strengthen coordination and cooperation for implementing development initiatives that aim for more effective and sustainable outcomes.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing on the necessity of continued coordination and consultation. They emphasized strengthening their partnership and developing cooperation programs that align with common interests, ultimately supporting development and stability efforts in Libya.
