Al-Baour and EU Ambassador Discuss Enhancing Libya-EU Cooperation

Tripoli: Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, met today at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli with Ambassador Nicola Orlando, the European Union Ambassador to Libya. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation and developing bilateral relations between Libya and the European Union.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed various aspects of cooperation between Libya and the European Union, exploring mechanisms to improve these relations to serve common interests. The dialogue also included exchanging views on several regional and international issues of mutual concern.

During the meeting, Al-Baour emphasized Libya's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the European Union. He highlighted the importance of supporting cooperation initiatives, particularly in training and technical assistance, to contribute to achieving stability and development in the region.

Ambassador Orlando, on his part, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in consolidating cooperation with the European Union. He affirmed the EU's desire to strengthen its partnership and support relations with Libya across various fields.

The meeting was also attended by Abubakr Al-Tawil, Director of the European Department at the Ministry, and Musab Hamza, Head of the European Union Section at the Department.
